Lippi Talks about the Fierce Fourth of the Italian League

Jakarta

AC Milan, Naples, and Juventus hunting for a ticket to the Champions League, which has two left. Marcelo lippi regretted it because one of them had to fail.

The Italian League has entered its final week. Inter Milan have been confirmed as champions since a few weeks ago and the teams who were relegated are also known, namely Benevento, Crotone and Parma.

The excitement of the Italian League leaves a race for tickets to the Champions League. Of the four slots, only two teams have been confirmed for the Champions League: Inter Milan and Atalanta.

The remaining two tickets will still be up for grabs by Milan, Naples, and Juventus. The difference in points for the three teams is still very thin to allow drama this weekend.

Milan are third with 76 points, same as Napoli in fourth. Juventus are in fifth place with 75 points.

“I really regret because one of them has to leave. There have been several teams that have performed very well in the last few matches,” said Lippi, the former coach of the Italian national team, as quoted by Football Italia.

“Look at Napoli, Milan, Juventus, they have shown that they have improved. Let’s see who will come out,” he continued.

“If all three win, Juventus miss (the Champions League), let’s see what happens. Atalanta has a chance to finish second in Serie A after the disappointment in the Coppa Italia, it will be a difficult match,” he said.

Juventus met Bologna in the last match. The Bianconeri need to win and hope that AC Milan or Napoli will slip in order to get to the Champions League.

AC Milan was met with Atalanta, who had yet to lock in second place even though they already had tickets to the Champions League. Napoli face Hellas Verona, the three competitors will compete simultaneously, Monday (24/5/2021) in the morning WIB.
