Lippetaler Dardan Karimani has a highlight game Dynamo Dresden waiting for him in the Saxony Cup, which will be broadcast live on MDR.
Chemnitz – Dardan Karimani, football professional from Lippetal, will play an absolutely top game in his second game for his new club Chemnitz on Saturday.
In the third round of the Saxony Cup, the regional league team will host the top third division team Dynamo Dresden in the stadium on Gellertstrasse. The hosts, who are unbeaten in four games in the league, are expecting “10,000 spectators plus,” says sports director Chris Löwe. After the two relegation games to the 3rd league with his previous club Würzburger Kickers, this is another highlight.

“Courage, conviction, faith,” demands CFC coach Benjamin Duda. Karimani only moved to Chemnitz at the end of September and had been without a club since the summer. “I’m looking forward to the challenge and am highly motivated to help Chemnitzer FC get out of the bottom of the table as quickly as possible. I want to integrate as quickly as possible and help the team as best as I can with my skills,” said Karimani. The offensive player made his debut for his new club last Saturday. He came on after 64 minutes for Lishek in the 2-0 win in the basement duel at bottom team FSV Luckenwalde. MDR will broadcast the game on Saturday from 2:05 p.m.
At the end of September, the 25-year-old signed a contract with CFC until the end of the season. Karimani is supposed to help resolve the lull in the storm. At this point, Chemnitzer FC had only scored three goals (3:7) in nine league games and were in 17th place in the Regionalliga Nordost. The placement does not reflect the quality of the team. The blockade should be broken on the offensive, with the support of the Lippetaler. The CFC has been waiting for a goal for four games: 0-1 in Meuselwitz, 0-1 against Chemie Leipzig, 0-0 at BFC Dynamo and 0-0 against Hertha Zehlendorf. The Saxons play at Greifswalder FC on Saturday.
