LippeBaskets women back on the road to success: Helena Trillmann is particularly convincing

The women’s team of LippeBaskets won their home game against BC Soest on Saturday with 57:46. Helena Trillmann was the clear top scorer of the LBW women.

The LippeBaskets women’s team is back on the road to success. After a significant defeat in the previous week, the Werner women won against BC Soest with 57:46 (13:12, 18:14, 15: 8, 11:12).

Before the start of the season, the LippeBaskets made two test matches against BC Soest, so they knew their opponents. The game at eye level announced by David Niehüser became exactly this. The LippeBaskets had Meike Wohl, Helena Trillmann and Izabela Pinkosz back in their squad. All three were right back in the starting five. The squad situation was much more relaxed than in the previous week, when only six players were in the squad.

After the test matches, BC Soest apparently had especially Izabela Pinkosz under control. The otherwise usually best scorer in LippeBaskets scored 13 points over the entire distance. Helena Trillmann in particular was able to convince with 17 points and thus advanced to the top scorer of her team.

By half time, the LippeBaskets had a 31:26 lead. After changing sides, the LBW women put down an 8-0 run and thus settled down to 42:33. LippeBaskets defended their lead in the last few minutes and won their second game of the season. After three match days, the promoted team from Werne are in fifth place in the table.
