“Lenka Do is leaving the Ministry of Foreign Affairs after our mutual agreement, for family reasons,” said Minister Lipavský for Seznam Zprávy.
At the same time, the foreign resort has had a new press spokesperson since February, namely former journalist Daniel Drake.
Lenka Do came to see Lipavský at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from the British Embassy in Prague. Even before that, she worked as a journalist, for example in the ČT24 news program.
The trained political scientist was known behind the scenes for her forceful approach and efforts for change, but her style was not always met with a positive response.
Women forward
For example, she prepared videos on social media featuring prominent Czech female diplomats who were previously “hidden” behind the predominantly male leadership of diplomacy. She was also known for her efforts to “humanize” diplomats on social networks.
Now – according to information from Seznam Zpráv – he is aiming for a job position in international institutions outside the Czech Ministry.
