Amon-Ra St. Brown took the Detroit Lions to a dominant win against the Dallas Cowboys and scored his third touchdown of the season. His catch in the final quarter capped a strong performance for the Lions, 47-9.
This also made a lasting impression on star quarterback Tom Brady as a TV expert. The most successful NFL professional in history declared the Lions to be the strongest team in the league at the moment – ahead of the undefeated Kansas City Chiefs and Minnesota Vikings. “This is the most balanced team in the league offensively and defensively,” Brady said.
On a trick play that ended with Sam LaPorta scoring a touchdown and the Lions pulling ahead 17-3, Brady said: “If you don’t have fun watching that, then you don’t have a heartbeat.” St. Brown was involved in the scene with a short reverse pass. He finished with four caught passes for 37 yards.
Injured Hutchinson still undergoing surgery in Dallas
What is bitter for the Lions, however, is the shocking moment of defender Aidan Hutchinson, who seriously injured his lower left leg in a sack against Dallas quarterback Dak Prescott.
Hutchinson was treated on the pitch for several minutes and driven off the pitch accompanied by all the Lions players – including Prescott. According to Lions coach Dan Campbell, Hutchinson underwent surgery in Dallas and will be out for the remainder of this year’s season.

The Lions now have four wins in five games and will next face the Vikings. The Chiefs – Super Bowl winners of the past two years – will face the San Francisco 49ers next week.
