Düsseldorf. On December 2nd, 2023, the members of the Düsseldorf-Kaiserswerth Lions Club were full of enthusiasm for the first weekend of Advent and sold raffle tickets, mistletoe, apple punch and popcorn for a good cause at the St. Nicholas Market in Angermund. The Kaiserswerther Lions were supported by the friendly Lions Club Düsseldorf-Schloss Kalkum, who provided the popcorn and actively participated in the joint stand.
The proceeds from the sales campaign amounting to 2,000 euros will benefit the “ProGirls – Girls’ House Düsseldorf eV”. As a recognized provider of independent youth welfare, ProGirl – Girls’ House Düsseldorf eV has been campaigning for girls and young women in Düsseldorf since 1989. The association maintains an advice center on Corneliusstrasse and the “Leyla” open meeting place. The Lion Friends handed over the donation to Sarah Pastor from ProGirls last week, which both sides were very happy about.
