The American world star will perform on Sunday 7 May during a grand concert in Windsor. The concert in question will also be broadcast live on the BBC. Earlier it became known that both “icons of international music and contemporary stars” were on the schedule. Lionel Richie is one of them. In addition, a “coronation choir” will also perform with singers from refugee choirs, from the health service and LGBTQ + groups.

It comes as no surprise that Lionel Richie is on the schedule. After all, the music legend is also an ambassador for Charles’ so-called ‘Prince’s Trust’. “The two have met several times,” a source told The Sun.
No other names have been announced for the time being, but according to rumors, the Spice Girls would also be part of the musical feast. Another contender is Paul McCartney. An insider within the royal family said the following last week: “The organizers have really set their sights on Paul. The idea of a Beatle performing on King Charles’s big day would really be the icing on the cake.”
