Lionel Messi’s move from Paris St. Germain to Saudi Arabia is said to be “a done deal”. This was learned by the French news agency AFP. “The Messi deal is sealed. He will play in Saudi Arabia next season,” it said. PSG recently only emphasized that the Argentine world champion would fulfill his contract by June 30th. However, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano immediately denied the news about the upcoming change via Twitter. There would therefore be no new status in the negotiations. The decision about the future of the 35-year-old should only be made after the season. Messi’s ex-club FC Barcelona is therefore still in the raffle. Romano did, however, confirm Saudi record champions Al-Hilal, who reportedly offered a €400m annual salary in April for Messi, who recently became the country’s tourism ambassador. In the desert state, the seven-time Ballon d’Or winner would again face Cristiano Ronaldo, who has been playing for Al-Nassr since the beginning of the year.
