Lionel Messi landed a lucrative advertising deal. The Paris Saint-Germain superstar signed an agreement on Tuesday that sees him become Socios’ ambassador for the next three years. For this, Messi should receive a proud 18 million euros.
Socios specializes in cryptocurrencies and offers virtual tokens, so-called “Chiliz”. By purchasing these, fans can participate in the club’s decisions. Juventus have already made use of this, letting votes be taken on the design of their shirt and the music played at the Allianz Stadium when the players walk in.

PSG, Barça and Co. already have deals with Socios
To date, Socios has entered into agreements with around 100 sports organizations. In football, alongside Juve, Paris Saint-Germain, FC Barcelona and Manchester City are among the customers of the globally operating company.
