Lionel messi He doesn’t need an introduction when it comes to football, but it seems that the Barcelona legend isn’t far behind in other sports either.
The 34-year-old was caught playing an impromptu basketball game with Argentines Papu Gómez and Rodrigo De Paul. Gomez showed the trio in action in a video posted on Instagram.
All three players were part of the Argentine team that won the Copa America that summer and beat Brazil 1-0 in the final at the Maracana Stadium, ending a 28-year streak without the Albiceleste.
The trio will continue to play in La Liga next season. De Paul is back in Spain for the second time, signing for Udinese champions Atlético de Madrid, while Gómez moved to Seville in January. Messi is expected to move on in Barcelona and sign a new five-year deal after his contract expired at the end of June.
