Argentina forward Lionel Messi has decided where he will end his playing career, but it will not be in Miami or Barcelona.

The forward’s current contract with Inter Miami expires in June 2025, after which, according to El Nacional, he plans to return to his boyhood club Newell’s Old Boys in his native Argentina. Messi’s contract with Inter has an option to extend it for another year, but Lionel wants to finish his career in his home country.
Messi left Barcelona in 2021 after more than two decades at the club, joining the Spanish giants from Newell’s Old Boys as a 13-year-old.
