Anyone who regularly cheers for FC Barcelona should now take a very close look: Lionel Messi does not feel compelled to extend his expiring contract with Paris Saint-Germain.
Lionel Messi’s contract extension at Paris Saint-Germain is apparently by no means a done deal. According to information from the Spanish sports journalist Gerard Romero, the superstar currently has no intention of extending his contract, which is due to expire on the Seine.
The triumph at the recent World Cup with Argentina national team changed Messi’s mind. However, there is no mention of which future models the 35-year-old is currently thinking about.
With this information, rumors of a return to FC Barcelona may flare up again. The decision-makers at Messi’s heart club had always been very open about resuming the tragically ended cooperation.
Or it goes in a completely different direction. Saudi club Al-Hilal reportedly want to offer Messi a whopping €280m a year. There has long been a connection between La Pulga and Saudi Arabia. The exceptional talent acts as an advertising medium for the country and the VisitSaudi tourism campaign.
