It was the (probably) last dance of two giants…
World champion and PSG star Lionel Messi (35) beats his archrival Cristiano Ronaldo (37) with a Saudi selection in a test kick 5: 4 – probably the last meeting of the greatest footballers in recent years!
Ronaldo! Messi! Insanity!
PSG with the best cast: The “trident” in front with the Brazilian Neymar (30), Vice World Champion Kylian Mbappé (24) – and of course World Champion Lionel Messi.
Of course, the Riyadh All-Stars will start with superstar Cristiano Ronaldo (37), having joined Saudi side Al-Nassr FC on a free transfer in the winter.
And after just three minutes, Messi shows why HE is the world champion: Neymar lobs gently into Messi’s barrel. The Argentine only has to overcome Saudi selection keeper Al-Owais – 1-0.
Then, however, Ronaldo is the center of attention! After a head crash with PSG keeper Keylor Navas in the penalty area and trembling seconds about a possible injury, he easily scored a penalty (34th). After the goal, a loud “Siuuuuuuuu” echoed through the stadium in Saudi Arabia’s capital, Riyadh.
Hard decision: Ex-Bayern star Juan Bernat sees red after a foul on the center line (39th). Outnumbered for PSG? No problem!
Defender Marquinhos takes the lead again after a fine Mbappé cross (43′). Neymar then messes up a penalty arrogantly and embarrassingly after Schwalbe (45’+3′).
And promptly Ronaldo again: He equalizes with a dust-off right before the break whistle after hitting the post (45.+5). Mad half in the desert! 2: 1 in the duel CR7 against Messi…
Another veteran then took the lead again: Spain’s former champion Sergio Ramos immediately after the break to make it 3-2 (53′), but then he came too late: Jang made it even again (56′).
Then Paris turns again: Mbappé converts a Handelfer after a Messi shot – 4: 3 (60th). Immediately afterwards, it’s over for Ronaldo, who is given a standing ovation by the Saudi fans. And for Messi, the game is over after 62 minutes of play.
PSG youngster Ekitike increases to 5: 3 (72nd). Talisca closes 5: 4 shortly before the end (90th + 4th).
However, Cristiano Ronaldo wins the “last tango of Riyadh” against Messi on goals…
