Lionel Messi announces departure from PSG: Latest updates and potential new club choices.

Lionel Messi has announced his departure from French champions PSG. The Argentinian star striker does not yet have a new club.

In conversation with ESPN Messi said: “I’m happy to represent PSG. It was a lot of fun playing in this team with such good players. I thank the club for a wonderful experience in Paris.”

Messi’s contract with PSG expires in a few days after two years. Coach Christophe Galtier confirmed at a press conference on Thursday that Saturday night’s game against Clermont Foot will be Messi’s last appearance in the Ligue 1 champions’ kit.

Messi wants to make a decision about his future in the coming days. His ex-club FC Barcelona is also trying to get the 35-year-old’s services, as is the MLS club Inter Miami.

Al-Hilal from the Saudi Pro League is said to be in pole position. According to a report by Sport Al-Hilal plans to announce Messi transfer for June 6th.
