Aircraft Lion Air flight number JT087 with the Jeddah-Jakarta route was suddenly reported reschedule. Passengers complained that there was no clear information from Lion Air. The passengers were a group of pilgrims who had just finished performing the Umrah pilgrimage.
Aircraft Lion Air JT087 plans to fly on Saturday (18/2/2023), at 20.00 local time, and was informed of a sudden reschedule to Sunday (19/2) at 03.00. The travel tour party also just received information from the party Lion Air about the delay of the flight.
“While on tour seeking clarity at the airport regarding delay there are no Lion officers who standby who can provide clarity,” said a passenger, Sunday (19/2).
The group did check-in and waited for boarding until around 6am. But there is still no explanation from Lion Air.
“None of the Lion officers apologized or provided definite clarification to the group,” said the passenger.
Meanwhile, catering vendors distributed food to the passengers around 3 a.m. The officer distributes food while marking passenger tickets.
“But there was no apology at all from Lion or clear information,” said the passenger.
The tour party provided information that the passengers could not go home because the plane had problems. The group will be taken to the hotel first for transit. But until now there has been no confirmation from Lion Air.
“The tour also gives information that there is no certainty we will go home when we get on what plane. The group will be broken up and inserted into flight-flight What else is not clear,” added the passenger.
Corporate Communications Strategic of Lion Air Danang Mandala Prihantoro apologized for the inconvenience experienced by passengers. He informed that the flight from Riyadh to Jakarta had a schedule adjustment.
“Recently, the Jeddah to Jakarta flight has experienced an adjustment to the departure schedule, due to operations, to ensure flight safety the aircraft is undergoing checks. Apologies for the inconvenience caused,” said Danang when asked for confirmation.
