Lion Air-Garuda Gives Free Covid-19 Vaccine For Passengers

Lion Air Group provides vaccine free for every passenger for departure routes from and to Jakarta via Soekarno-Hatta International Airport (CGK).

Vaccine facilities are carried out through several stages from monitoring to medical screening by medical personnel by maintaining Covid-19 health and safety protocols.

“Every passenger is expected to arrive 4 hours before the scheduled flight departure. Lion Air Group provides free vaccines as part of the Flying is Safe, Healthy and Fun campaign,” he said in a release, Saturday (3/7).

He said there were 10 conditions for passengers to get vaccines from the Lion Group.

1. Lion Air Group passengers by showing a valid ticket or document containing information to enter/board the aircraft (boarding pass).

2. Passengers with an early departure (origin) from Soekarno-Hatta Airport.

3. Passengers with the final destination (destination) Soekarno-Hatta International Airport (CGK).

4. Bring and show a card or certificate of the first dose of vaccine, if it is for passengers who will be vaccinating the second dose.

5. Minimum age 12 years.

6. Children of this age must be accompanied by a parent or adult guardian.

7. Bring a valid and official identity card, such as the original Identity Card (KTP) and Family Card (KK) for children who do not have an ID card.

8. Keep running, complying with health protocols, implementing a healthy lifestyle before, during and after the vaccination process.

9. It is recommended to use loose clothing and easy to roll up, because the vaccine injection will be carried out on the sleeve.

10. Passengers who have a history of certain diseases are advised to consult a doctor first and are advised to receive a vaccine after receiving a recommendation from a doctor.

In addition to the Lion Group, the national airline Garuda Indonesia also provided free COVID-19 vaccines for its passengers at Terminal 3 of Soekarno Hatta International Airport.

President Director of PT Garuda Indonesia (Persero) Tbk Irfan Setiaputra said the service was a form of support for efforts to accelerate the national vaccination program.

“We believe this vaccination program is a “game changer” that plays an important role in efforts to overcome the pandemic in Indonesia and should have the full support of all parties,” he said in an official statement, Wednesday (30/6).

Through the provision of this vaccination service, passengers over the age of 18 who will fly with Garuda Indonesia can access the COVID-19 vaccination service, both the first and second doses for the Sinovac vaccine.

Passengers only need to show their Garuda Indonesia flight ticket, as well as an Identity Card (KTP). The service, explained Irfan, is available starting today, at 08.00-14.00 WIB at Terminal 3 Soekarno-Hatta.

“The provision of vaccination service facilities is certainly inseparable from the support of the Indonesian Ministry of Health and the relevant health authorities,” said Irfan.

Furthermore, this vaccination service will be carried out by professional health workers from Garuda Sentra Medika (GSM), which is a health service unit of Garuda Indonesia and also cooperates with local health authorities in the Soekarno Hatta International Airport area.

“In providing this vaccination service facility, Garuda Indonesia will adjust the availability of the vaccine dose allocation that will be provided by the relevant authorities,” he said.

“Coinciding with the momentum of implementing Emergency PPKM accompanied by various tightening of air transport passenger travel requirements, including through the requirements for vaccination cards and RT-PCR examination documents with negative results with a validity period of 2 x 24 hours which will come into effect on July 5, 2021, and supported by commitment to implementing health protocols.”
