LINZ. Bankruptcy proceedings were opened at the Linz regional court about the Linzer Dombar. The Credit Protection Association from 1870 reported this on Friday. The operator had to withdraw at short notice for health reasons and no successor could be found quickly.
According to the Alpine Creditors Association AKV, several reasons for the insolvency are given in the opening application: after the corona pandemic, guests consumed less overall, and there were also increased personnel and operating costs. These could no longer be compensated. However, another reason may have been decisive: as KSV1870 reports, the operator is no longer able to continue due to his state of health. A successor was sought, but none could be found at such short notice. In principle, the company is not broken, according to the debtor’s representative.
According to KSV1870, a takeover would be desirable; the appointed insolvency administrator will shortly decide on the short-term continuation or closure of the company.
The liabilities are said to amount to around 76,000 euros, compared to free assets of around 40,000 euros according to the opening application. Five employees are affected by the bankruptcy.
