Brutal attack in Haid near Linz. A 31-year-old drove a taxi to a 42-year-old and seriously injured him.
Another bloody deed in Upper Austria. After an Upper Austrian (43) was literally executed by his ex-brother-in-law with several shots at the weekend, there was now a knife attack between two acquaintances in Haid near Linz.
According to the police, a 31-year-old Russian from Linz was chauffeured to a 42-year-old from Haid in a taxi on Wednesday morning around 9 a.m. There would have been a war of words there. The 42-year-old suddenly felt pain in his back, and according to the police, the 31-year-old suddenly rammed a folding knife into his back. He then struck with the knife, injuring the victim in the head.
The ambulance rushed in and took the victim to the hospital. The man was injured so badly that he has not yet been questioned.
The police immediately launched a search, and forces from the rapid intervention group were able to catch the 31-year-old and a 45-year-old, who is said to have picked up the attacker from the crime scene.
“Jealousy” was the motive given by the accused. The weapon has not yet been found, the 31-year-old was taken to the Linz prison.
