HC LINZ AG celebrated a 31:27 home win against newly promoted UHC speed Hollabrunn in the penultimate home game of the HLA MEISTERLIGA this year. The Linzers were able to turn the game around in the end after a poor initial phase.
In the first half, the game doesn’t go as planned for HC LINZ AG: The first seven minutes of the game go on a slippery slope: Tim Grobelnik and Kristof Gal for the guests almost single-handedly knock out the Linzers. And thanks to this deficit, the Linzers run many technical errors and missed throws until the break. Hollabrunn goes into the locker room with a score of 15:10.
In the second half, from Linz’s point of view, they approach things more concentratedly, more focused and more carefully and can turn the game around: HC LINZ AG not only makes up the minus-five deficit, but also wins the game in the end with 31:27.
Elmar Böhm: “In the first half we didn’t set enough pace and had too many technical errors and missed throws. But we came back strongly in the second half, played with a lot of speed, were more stable in defense, Flo and Zwicki held up well.”
Next Saturday, HC LINZ AG has to play the last away game of 2023: The Linz team will be guests at roomz JAGS Vöslau on December 16th. The game starts at 6:00 p.m. Linz will play its last home game on Wednesday, December 20, 2023, against HSG Holding Graz.
