Linz discotheque Mausefalle closes due to insolvency

LINZ. As the Alpine Creditors Association (AKV) announced, bankruptcy proceedings have been opened against the assets of the operator of the Mausefalle discotheque in Linz.

According to AKV, liabilities amount to around 380,000 euros, while assets are said to be around 81,000 euros. There are no plans to continue the company. 22 employees and around 50 creditors are affected by the insolvency.

Hehn Betriebs GmbH & Co KG and the general partner Hehn Betriebs GmbH have applied for bankruptcy proceedings. The company was founded in 2004 and operates the Mausefalle discotheque in Linz. The company celebrated its 30th anniversary just last year.
Causes of insolvency

The applicant states that one reason for the insolvency is that Christof Hehn, the mainstay of the company, died in 2021. During the Corona period, it was difficult to continue business operations in a sustainable manner. They were also faced with significant cost increases that the company can no longer generate. Apparently the costs have not been able to be covered for a long time, which is why the mousetrap is being closed. The operators also agreed to this in the insolvency applications.
