Linz City Night Run: A record that is actually on hiatus

“I knew the record would run out,” said the Linz athlete, whose season ended three weeks ago. “I’ve more or less had a break from training since then,” says the 18-year-old. The fastest woman was Kerstin Springer from Rohrbach (18:39).

Even though the temperatures were far from the end of the summer, more than 1500 runners enjoyed the dry weather. Organizer Ewald Tröbinger (ASKÖ Tri Linz) was also delighted with the “surprisingly high number of registrations”.

Sparkasse Board Director Herbert Walzhofer, himself a passionate runner, was thrilled. “The Night Run was a complete success. Walking around Linz at night with the joy of movement is a unique experience ”. Numerous bands ensured a good atmosphere along the way and for the first time this year the moderator duo “2: tages: bart” was also actively involved as mood creators. “They motivated the riders to do their best,” Walzhofer said.

Record: Kevin Kamenschak from Linz ran the 5.2 kilometers in 14:54 minutes.
