Linus Haverkamp has repurposed his room. Here he not only sleeps or does homework. He also records videos for Youtube. In it, the 17-year-old from near Osnabrück comments on football matches. Youth protectors are not only enthusiastic about this.
Bad Iburg. Linus Haverkamp is only 17 years old, but has had his own YouTube channel for ten years. The student from Bad Iburg near Osnabrück mainly deals with football on the video platform – his channel currently has around 16,000 subscribers.
As a seven-year-old, he himself started watching YouTube, says Linus. Above all, it was football videos – “which you start with at that age”. His father Klaus-Martin Meyer – who works in online marketing – experimented with YouTube for his work and uploaded a few videos. “So I said, ok, I want to do something like that too,” the 17-year-old looks back. In his first videos he only sang a little and they were then uploaded to his father’s channel. “I enjoyed it and wanted to keep doing it, and then we created my own channel.”
