The first thing that hits anyone when they know they are going to die is fear and despair. If you can overcome it, life will be more beautiful and there will be more to enjoy. That feeling will give you the will to live and will give you mental strength. A 76-year-old woman is making a difference by organizing a night out to enjoy the remaining moments of her life when death is at her doorstep. Linda Williams of High Wycombe, England decided to hold the party after realizing she was suffering from cancer. This not only makes Linta different, but Linta has made many memories through this that she will need for the rest of her life. Linta says that she is happier at a party when she is alive than at a funeral.
A year ago, Linta Williams was diagnosed with terminal cancer. That is the last stage of cancer. A condition that cannot be treated or reversed. After learning this, Linta was as scared and disappointed as anyone else. Then there were days of treatment. After months of treatment, Linta decided enough was enough. Later, Linta decided to stay at home under the care of a home nurse. Under their excellent protection, Linta became mentally brave. With that, Linta prepared a bucket list of things to do for the rest of her life. The first was to travel in an airplane.
Linta’s parents were British Air Force officers. As a child, Linta lived near the Royal Air Force (RAF) headquarters in Walters Ash Village. He used to watch the plane flying over the house that day. On that day, the desire that entered my mind was to get on the plane. When she knew that she didn’t have many days left in her life, Linta wanted to fly, which was her biggest wish in life. And that wish came true. Linta’s son followed in another chaser plane after Linta’s flight.
With the first wish on her bucket list fulfilled, Linta’s next decision was to have a 1940’s themed party. The party was held on the theme of wartime Britain when everyone stood together and fought for independence when there was nothing. Linta arrived at the party dressed as a fighter pilot. A parachute was also attached to the back to give the impression of jumping out of a plane. 124 people participated in the party. Linta had also instructed them in advance that they all had to say the code Enigma to get to the party.
Meanwhile, before the party, Linta’s health deteriorated. Linta even feared that she would not be able to attend the event. But Linta arrived at the party at 6pm and later danced the night away with her friends to celebrate. Linta returned home at midnight. Linta later expressed her love and gratitude to all her friends who helped make such an event possible.
Always wanting to see life positively, Linta started her dance training at the age of 69. Linta has many friends from there who support her. Linda is also a practitioner of Tai Chi, the Chinese martial arts. Friend Jo Oxlade says she is proud to have a friend as strong as Linda. At the same time, Linta Williams is a strong fighter and those who care for Linta say that others should copy Linta’s ability to be self-possessed by including only the positive side of life and to make that energy important to others.
