Through the series “La Linnéa leve” and the novel “Evig søndag”, which depict experiences that are close to her own life, Linnéa Myhre (32) has shared honestly about her life with anorexia.
– No regular dates
It was as a teenager that Myhre got the serious eating disorder. Now, in 2023, she has a much better relationship with food, although she would not describe herself as “healthy”.
When she was in secondary school, however, the disease was taking her life.
Myhre tells that in the podcast “Kladden has Dævva”with Martin Lepperød (30).
The online newspaper mentioned the matter first.
– Woke up by a scream
Was hospitalized for three months
In the podcast, Myhre says that she was forcibly admitted to hospital when she was 15, as the eating disorder had put her life in danger.
– I was simply so underweight that there was a chance that my heart stopped beating, she says in the episode.
During the pre-Christmas program “Home for Christmas” in 2015, the 32-year-old told more about how it was that her mother chose to commit her to hospital.
– She did it for me to survive, but I didn’t understand: “How can you do this to me? Me, who loves Christmas? And who will do anything to gain weight, so that I can be at home for Christmas?’, she said.
While Myhre was admitted to the children’s ward, her grandmother was stricken with cancer and admitted to the same hospital.
– I remember sitting on the edge of her bed and watching her die. She wanted to live, while I sat and starved myself, says Myhre in the podcast.
Showed off new flame
The 32-year-old was forcibly admitted to the hospital for three months.
– It is possible to get well again, and that is what I am thinking now. There is nothing I want less than those things.
Linnéa Myhre has not responded to Se og Hør’s inquiry.
Life has turned around
At 32, Myhre’s relationship with food has improved, and last year she published, among other things, a cookbook in collaboration with “Good morning Norway”-Wenche Andersen (68).
– Very strange match
– It is not logical that I should take part in a cookbook with Wenche. But at the same time, it is a natural development from having anorexia, eating disorders, having lost the joy of eating and using food a little incorrectly, Myhre told TV 2 last year.
Earlier this year, she launched the VGTV series «Sleepless», after having struggled with sleep himself “all my life”. In the series, the roommate and fiance, NRK profile Emil Gukild (31), was a great help.
The couple met in 2021, and in May last year the couple were able to reveal that they had become engaged. The time for the wedding is not yet known, but Gukild has previously revealed to Se og Hør that the planning is well under way.
– It goes well. We make plans and enjoy ourselves. We’re trying to figure out what to do, so it’s a lot of fun.
