Linn Svahn got revenge in Canmore – Sweski.com

The World Cup in Canadian Canmore in Alberta ended with a classic sprint on Tuesday. And as usual, they dominated the Swedish ladies.
Everyone moved on from the prologue. Frida Karlsson fell silent during the run-up in the quarter-finals and went out. The rest went to the semi-finals where only Johanna Hagström disappeared.
Thus four Swedes in the final round. Jonna and Linn were first and second in the qualifier, but Jonna had to rely on time to get to the final. Emma Ribom was back after her injury but went all the way. Maja Dahlqvist opened weakly and was 25th in the prologue. But then she impressed in the heats and went to the final.

Jonna drove hard in the final to shake off sprint cannon Skistad in the two tough uphills. Linn followed and the door came. But in the last downhill towards the riot, both Swedes messed it up and let Skistad into the match again.
This time, however, Linn Svahn was superior in the race and at the same time took important points on Jessie Diggins in the overall World Cup as the American went out in the quarter-finals.
Skistad and Jonna got the same time, but the Norwegian was judged ahead and came second.
Maja Dahlqvist and Emma Ribom did not have the strength left to fight for the podium but finished fifth and sixth in the final, also beaten by Finland’s classical specialist Kerttu Niskanen.

As usual in the men’s class: Johannes Hösflot Klæbo won without too many problems, looked as happy as when he brushes his teeth and took his 100th podium in the World Cup.
The former Sprint World Cup winner Richard Jouve actually challenged for a while in the race and was second ahead of Erik Valnes. It was a stretch in the account for Norway.
The second stretch in the calculation was that Calle Halfvarsson’s time in the semi-finals was a hundredth better than Even Northug, who was eliminated.
Calle’s first final of the season. But if he is to win, someone must send him to a tactics course.
Laid down last and stayed there until you crossed the finish line.

Edvin Anger finished last in his semifinal, while Johan Häggström and Marcus Grate went out in the quarters. Both were third in their heats. William Poromaa and Gustaf Berglund did not progress from the prologue.
