The preliminary autopsy report concludes that Andersen died as a result of stab wounds.

She leaves behind two minor children who slept in the house that night. Both children are taken care of by family members.

The name will be announced in consultation with the family, the police report in a press release on Wednesday.

Police: No known history of violence

– We will find out what happened and why it happened, that is the most important thing, says police inspector in the South-East police district Odd Skei Kostveit to VG on the phone on Tuesday.

The accused will appear for new interrogations during the week.

The 39-year-old man reported to the police the same night as the murder of his cohabitant. During the arrest, a knife was seized.

– He has so far explained that he was there and used violence against her, Kostveit said at the time.

He was remanded in custody for four weeks.

Background: Man charged with murder of cohabitant

– Do the accused cooperate?

– He has explained himself once and he wants to explain himself further, so we expect that he will participate in interrogations in the future, says the police inspector.

– Has there been a violent prehistory here?

– If you ask if there have been reports or house riot reports, there has been nothing known to the police, the police inspector says.

– But do the police suspect that it may have been?

– I can not comment on that now. The investigation will also be about further.

The police have completed technical crime scene investigations and are now entering a phase of obtaining technical clues and questioning witnesses.

– Then it is about witnesses who knew one or both, says Kostveit.

– Shock and deep sadness

Lawyer Preben Kløvfjell assists the deceased’s parents and two brothers, and said the same day to VG that the family is characterized by deep grief.

– The family is in shock and characterized by deep grief. Beyond that, they have no desire to comment on the case, Kløvfjell told VG.

When the message came, the ambulance and police immediately rushed to the scene.

– They tried life-saving first aid, but could not save her, Kostveit said to VG April 5.

The man called AMK a quarter of an hour past midnight on Tuesday. Then he was in a car on the way from the couple’s detached house in Krødsherad in Buskerud in Viken.

– AMK forwarded to us. We agreed that he would meet the police at the police station in Vikersund. It took a while before he got there, says Kostveit.
