A new musical alchemy
Without any pressure or expectation, Shinoda, Delson, Farrell et Hahn began to reunite quietly in recent years. Their initial goal was not to revive the band, but simply to rediscover the camaraderie and creativity that had always been at the heart of their friendship, which began on the benches of the university. Gradually, friends and collaborators joined them in the studio. This is how they discovered a particular alchemy with Armstrong et Brittain. This natural connection rekindled an indomitable creative energy and, from these sessions, was born From Zero.
About this new era, Mike Shinoda confides: “Avant Linkin Parkour first band name was Xero. This album title refers to those humble beginnings, as well as the new journey we are embarking on today. Sonically and emotionally, it represents the past, present, and future—staying true to our signature sound, while infusing it with new vitality. This album was made with deep gratitude to our new and returning members, our friends, our families, and of course, our fans. We are proud of how far we have come and excited for what the future holds.“
A single that hits hard
From the first notes, “The Emptiness Machine” immediately recalls the DNA of Linkin Park. The song combines the band’s explosive energy with instantly recognizable sounds. This powerful anthem alternates between the haunting melodies of Shinoda and the fiery chorus ofArmstrongbacked by distorted riffs and pounding drums.
Shinoda continues: “The more we worked with Emilie et Colinthe more we appreciated their exceptional talents, their presence, and what we were creating together. We feel truly galvanized by this new line-up, and the vibrant and energetic music that results from it. We are mixing our familiar sonic cues with bold new explorations.“
With From Zero, Linkin Park wants to capture the raw essence of their past, present and future. The band is back, stronger than ever!
