Surprise: Linkin Park is making a comeback… with a singer!
Seven years after the suicide of its singer Chester Bennington, the American group announced a new album during a concert broadcast online.
The American band is now led by Emily Armstrong, known as the singer of the hard rock band Dead Sara.

American rock band Linkin Park unveiled its new singer, Emily Armstrong, during a concert on Thursday evening and announced the upcoming release of an album, the first since the death of its leader Chester Bennington.
The Californian band gave a concert broadcast live in streaming and visible on its website and social networks. It also released a first single, “The emptiness machine”, taken from its next opus, “From Zero”, expected on November 15.
In this piece, the alternation between angry guitars and calms still reflects the band’s signature which oscillates between rock and metal, now enhanced by the furious voice of Emily Armstrong, known as the singer of the hard rock band Dead Sara.
Active since the end of the 1990s before exploding in 2003 with the album “Meteora” – the hits “Numb” and “Breaking the habit” -, Linkin Park had not recorded a studio album for seven years and the death of its lead singer Chester Bennington, at the age of 41 in July 2017.
An international tour is already planned, with six dates from September 16 to November 11.
