Linkin Park announces Hamburg concert: fans are in shock

Linkin Park has surprisingly announced a tour and is coming to Hamburg this month. Fans are furious – but are also looking forward to the concerts with concern.

The rock band dropped a bombshell on Friday night: Linkin Park has announced that they will be going on tour again this year. The band will perform at the Barclays Arena in Hamburg on September 22nd for the “From Zero World Tour” – one of only two stops in Europe. The other is on September 24th at the O2 Arena in London.

Fans of the US band are excited about the comeback on social media. The group has not performed together since the death of their frontman Chester Bennington in 2017. “I’m lying in bed with goosebumps and tears of joy. This band has done so much for me. I still can’t quite believe it,” writes one user on X.

Many users are surprised, and even outraged, at how spontaneously the band announced the tour. Many can hardly believe that the concert in Hamburg is taking place in about two weeks.

“So you’re telling me that Linkin Park are playing in an arena in Hamburg THIS month and the tickets don’t go on sale until a week from now?” asks an X user, aghast. “2024 or 2025?!” asks another user, just to be sure.

Advance booking for the concert in Hamburg (starting at 8 p.m.) will start on September 13 at 10 a.m. on Ticketmaster start. The prices for tickets in the Barclays Arena are not yet known.

Many fans are already worried that they won’t be able to get their hands on one of the coveted tickets. One user on X writes: “The whole EU will fight over the Hamburg tickets and they will be gone in the first 30 seconds, right?” Another suspects: “I know Ticketmaster will collapse because of these sales.”

Ticketmaster is currently being criticized for its dynamic pricing when selling tickets. Specifically, fans complained that they had to pay significantly more for their tickets than expected after waiting for hours when pre-selling tickets for the band Oasis.

Linkin Park fans now hope that they won’t have to experience the same thing. “Let’s hope Linkin Park didn’t fall for Ticketmaster’s stupid dynamic pricing,” it says on X.
