When musicians want to share some great news with the world, they resort to various methods. Some simply make an announcement in advance, some announce it the next day, and still others mysteriously encourage us to wait.

A few days ago Linkin Park has shared a link to a mysterious countdown on its website and social media. For example, a link appeared on the X service (formerly Twitter). After clicking on it, we are redirected to a page where there is nothing else but the aforementioned countdown. The fans’ reaction is immediate. The countdown will end any minute now, on August 28, and yet many fans are already theorizing about what the mysterious message might be. Some say it could be about a new album, others point to a new vocalist, and still others say that the group will announce concerts. Who is right? We will have to wait a while for the resolution of the dispute.

However, both those who mention the announcement of concerts and those who point to a new vocalist may be right. In early 2024, reports appeared that the band was planning a tour and may also want to hire a new vocalist to replace the deceased Chester Bennington.
