One of the efforts made is to extend the school holiday period in the Special Capital Region (DKI) Jakarta, West Java (Jabar) and Banten.

The policy for increasing student vacation time was released by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Kemendikbud Ristek) after coordinating with the Provincial Governments of DKI Jakarta, West Java, and Banten.

Originally, school holidays for students in DKI Jakarta, West Java, and Banten would end on Sunday, May 8, 2022 and re-enter on Monday, May 9, 2022.

With this policy, students will enter school on Thursday, May 12, 2022.
