LINE Indonesia participates in the largest annual IT event held and organized by students of the Faculty of Computer Science, University of Indonesia, COMPFEST UI 2021. Through this event, LINE Indonesia affirms its support to participate in advancing digital technology in Indonesia.
This year’s COMPFEST UI carries the theme “Elevating Human Wuality Through the Utilization of Limitless Technology. LINE Indonesia participated in providing speakers for the Clean Architecture webinar, with Aldo Kelvianto, Software Engineer and Matthew Tanudjaja, Lead Product & Engineering.
Both were also present as judges for the Software Engineering Academy competition. Until now, it was recorded that COMPFEST UI, which was held by the Faculty of Computer Science, University of Indonesia, was attended by more than 8500 participants, more than 3300 academic and competition participants, and 250 more speakers.
“LINE Indonesia’s participation in the COMPFEST event this time is a form of real support for how technology companies can actively participate in providing various information to help screen talent that can advance digital technology,” said Matthew Tanudjaja, Lead Product & Engineering, LINE Indonesia.
COMPFEST UI itself has been held consecutively for 12 years since 2009. COMPFEST UI presents a variety of competitions that bring innovations in technology, IT exhibitions that present various technological developments wrapped in the concept of gamification, seminars, and academies.
Through the Software Engineering Academy webinar with the theme of Clean Architecture, LINE Indonesia is in tandem with COMPFEST UI which aims to improve participants’ ability to design programs that are neat, flexible, easy to test and easy to understand by other developers.
Aldo Kelvianto brought material and practical experience while developing services on LINE Indonesia in this session. Participants can also understand various types of architecture and good architectural choices, as well as a deeper understanding of Clean Architecture.
In the next session, LINE Indonesia, represented by Matthew Tanudjaja, participated as a jury for the work of the participant’s project. The judging session was carried out through a number of stages, starting from code review, presentation assessment, and the accumulation of all scores during camp.
This aims to provide an opportunity for participants to measure the results of their work and how much knowledge is absorbed during the camp. This session also aims to determine who is the Best Participant who deserves the prize. At the Software Engineering Academy, there are 5 teams of 4 people each.
The best participant was Novel Bafagih, a student of FASILKOM Universitas Brawijaya who is also a member of the Naga team. In addition, the Dragon team itself is the Favorite Team Software Engineering Academy COMPFEST 13.
“LINE Indonesia’s contribution to COMPFEST’s Software Engineering Academy activities this year provides participants with new insights on how Software Engineering is applied in the industrial world and its best practices,” explained Nofaldi Fikrul Atmam, Person in Charge of Software Engineering Academy COMPFEST.
Through this activity, LINE Indonesia seeks to support the advancement of digital technology to facilitate people’s daily lives and increase the participation of young people in the technology industry in Indonesia.
