Line 12 finally arrives in Aubervilliers

We have long believed in a mirage but that’s it, line 12 is finally extended. Aimé Césaire and Mairie d’Aubervilliers: the two new stations to the north of Front Populaire will be open to the public on Tuesday 31 May. Preview guided tour.

The two new stations on line 12 to the north of Paris will open on Tuesday May 31: Aimé Césaire and Mairie d’Aubervilliers, the new terminus to the north.

We will first come back to the vagaries of this titanic project, initiated more than 10 years ago. From now on, it is the heart of the city of Aubervilliers in Seine-Saint-Denis which is directly served by the metro. With the key, an incredible saving of time. Interview with Karine Franclet, the UDI mayor of Aubervilliers.

These two stations are writing a new page in the atypical history of this line 12, also known as line A and whose style contrasts sharply with the rest of the network.

Finally, we wonder about the future extensions of the historic metro. After 4, 14 and 12, who’s next? Does the extension of line 1 to the east have any problems following the unfavorable opinion of the commission of inquiry? This is what we will see with the vice-president of Île-de-France mobilities, Grégoire de Lasteyrie.

Parigo tells you everything about line 12 this Saturday at 12:05 p.m. on France 3 Paris Île-de-France. A program to be found on France.tv.
