It appears that American actress Lindsay Lohan has reprized her famous role from the movie “Mean Girls”, but this time it is for an upcoming Pepsi ad.
Years after the film was released in cinemas in 2004, and achieved great success, Pepsi reunited a number of its heroines – Lohan, Amanda Seyfried and Lacey Chabert – to film the video advertisement in a way inspired by the atmosphere of their famous film, according to the website. TMZ.
Relaxation, smiles and selfies
According to the website, Lindsay and her friends were in a high psychological state while they were walking around a street in Los Angeles. Lindsay was carrying a pocket book that said “Member of the Plastic Clubs – 2004 Foundation,” the name of the “bad girls” group in the film, and also featured the group’s prominent slogan, “On Wednesdays, We Wear Pink.” While Seyfried and Shabert appeared taking selfies in a convertible car, inside a football stadium.
The website stated that it tried to contact Lohan’s media office, or Pepsi, but they refused to comment, saying only: “Wait for the promotional advertisement to be broadcast very soon.”
The story of the film and its successes
As for the movie “Bad Girls,” it is a comedy movie for teenagers. Its events revolve around a teenage girl, Cady Heron (Lohan), who moves to an American high school, after years of homeschooling by her parents, and joins the “Bad Girls” team.
The film grossed $130.1 million worldwide and became a classic, earning Lohan three Teen Choice Awards and three MTV Movie Awards.
Because of this success, a second part was produced, the first of which was shown on January 23, 2011, to be adapted into a musical that was shown on Broadway in March 2018, and in 2020 it was announced that a film would be made for the same story, but Corona stopped it.
The new baby
Months ago, Lohan and her Kuwaiti husband, Badr Shammas, had their first son, Louay, last July. She had posted on her Instagram account a picture suggesting their first wait, and it showed baby clothes and accompanied it with the comment, “Soon…we are lucky and excited.”
