Lindsay Lohan (36) is known for causing a stir in the media with her outrageous lifestyle. Among other things, the actor has been in and out of rehab with both alcohol and drug problems.
The star is unrecognizable in the new photo
But the 36-year-old is also known for his participation in films and series.
Anyone who has seen Lohan as Cady Heron in “Mean Girls” is familiar with the iconic dance scene, in which the four “mean” girls dance to the carol “Jingle Bell Rock.”
Now the actor has seemingly brought the Cady character back to life, and that’s in a new Pepsi commercial. He reports Today.
On December 1, Pepsi announced that it has partnered with Lohan. During the holiday season, the soda brand wants Pepsi drinkers to try a new variation of the drink, and Lohan will help them promote it.
That’s how they buried the hatchet
The drink is made up of good old Pepsi and a somewhat surprising ingredient, namely milk. It’s called “pilk”, a combination of Pepsi and milk (melk in Norwegian jour.anm.) – or “pelk” in Norwegian.
The soda brand recommends consuming the dubious concoction with crackers during the Christmas season.
In the promo video, which was posted on TikTok, Lohan sits wearing what is supposed to be a variation of the sexy pixie costume used in “Mean Girls.”
The nostalgic references to the film have not gone unnoticed by fans.
One TikTok user wrote, “I saw Lindsay drinking Pepsi and milk, so I started drinking Pepsi and milk,” which was a reference to the movie’s famous line: “I saw Cady Heron wearing camo pants and flip flops, so I bought camo pants and flip flops”.
Reveal good news
Another commented “Wednesdays we drink pilk” which translates to “Wednesdays we drink pink” – which is also a twist on a line from the film – “Wednesdays we wear pink”.
While some followers were just happy to see the actor, there are also many who are now butchering the promo video.
One follower has, among other things, described the new Pepsi as a “war crime”.
“Voke up simulator,” read another comment.
“What the hell, ugh,” wrote a third.
Several have commented “diarrhea,” or simply left a toilet emoji, to show what they think of the concoction
Here’s what they look like 17 years later
“Lindsay, blink if you need help,” commented one follower, who apparently didn’t understand why the actress would promote such a weird mix.
However, the negative feedback doesn’t seem to bother Lohan significantly.
According to Today wrote in a press release that starting a partnership with Pepsi to promote popsicles and crackers has been an incredible experience.
