Linden trees: renovation of Grabenstrasse and Moosbühlweg

As announced by the municipality of Linden, the municipal council has approved suitable loans for the renovation of Grabenstrasse and for the renovation of Moosbühlweg.

The municipal council approves the commitment credit of CHF 35,000.00 for the renovation of Grabenstrasse and the commitment credit of CHF 50,000.00 for the renovation of Moosbühlweg.

The renovation of Grabenstrasse and Moosbühlweg (up to the school complex) is planned in the value maintenance program and in the investment planning of the Linden community. Both streets are in poor condition and urgently need to be renovated. The municipal council has approved the necessary loans for these renovations in the amount of CHF 35,000.00 and CHF 50,000.00. Construction is scheduled to start in August 2021.

Additional dishes for the meal service and reorganization of the transport service of the Swiss Red Cross

The Linden community’s meal service is increasingly used by senior citizens. The local council has therefore approved the purchase of additional insulating transport boxes with the appropriate dishes and a corresponding withdrawal from the community health care fund.

Modernization and centralization

From 2022, the Swiss Red Cross intends to centralize and modernize the organization of the transport service.

As of 2014, the municipal administration has taken over the organization of the meals and the Red Cross service from Spitex. The need for meal service has increased during the corona pandemic.

As a result, the insulating transport boxes with the appropriate dishes were no longer sufficient. Fortunately, the missing boxes could be obtained from Spitex free of charge and the missing crockery purchased in cooperation with the Gasthof Linden for an amount of CHF 510.00.

In addition to uniform opening times, a central telephone number and a new tariff and remuneration system, voluntary drivers will in future be able to manage their volunteer work independently using the SRK Drive app. Therefore, the Swiss Red Cross will organize and oversee the organization of this service itself from January 1st, 2022. The task of the Red Cross driving service will therefore no longer apply to the municipal administration.
