The Lindau district is a cause for concern: According to the Robert Koch Institute (RKI), it was the place in Germany with the highest seven-day incidence. On Saturday the value was 75.6 cases per 100,000 inhabitants within seven days. The State Office for Health and Food Safety (LGL) calculated a value of 81.37.
No diffuse infection process
The district on Lake Constance announced that there was no “diffuse” infection process. Accordingly, it is limited to a few known outbreaks in family associations and seven asylum seeker shelters, it said in a message.
There were also infections in schools – but these are individual cases that could be isolated at an early stage. So there is practically no outbreak in schools – the district has therefore made a special regulation for operation in schools and daycare centers next week in consultation with the government of Swabia.
The incidence value is also increasing in the administrative region of Swabia
The 7-day incidence is also increasing in the rest of the Swabian administrative district, albeit only slightly and not nearly as strongly as in the Lindau district. According to the LGL, the value is now 34.59; on Friday it was 34.22. According to the authority, 96 new infections with the corona virus have become known in Swabia since Friday; three deaths related to the virus have been reported.
Swabia still has the highest incidence value of all Bavarian administrative districts. In addition to the Lindau district, the Günzburg district also has to contend with a relatively high value. On Saturday it was 55.89; the third highest value in Bavaria. Schweinfurt is currently in second place with 74.87 – the Lower Franconian city is also the second largest hotspot in Germany.
Bavaria-wide 7-day incidence in 22
According to the RKI, the 7-day incidence per 100,000 inhabitants across Bavaria is currently 22 and has therefore fallen slightly. The RKI stated the nationwide seven-day incidence on Saturday as nationwide 18.3 (previous day: 18.6; previous week: 26.3).
