The ball started rolling last weekend, when the Dutch channel RTL announced that it was immediately suspending the broadcasts of “The voice of Holland”.
The cause was allegations of sexual behavior and abuse of power by various parties involved in the program. Band leader Jeroen Rietbergen, among others, came under fire. He acknowledged the allegations about himself and immediately left the program.
