Bad blow for Limoges ABC. A week after winning on the floor of the Villeurbanne leader, the Limougeaudes lost this Saturday evening at Poinçonnet, a direct competitor for the play-offs (56-54).
Leading all scores (14-12, 28-25 at the break, 42-41), Romain Leclaircie’s players were unable to follow through on their intentions.
With this setback, the LABC performed poorly to secure one of the two places for the play-offs. Four days before the end of the championship, the Limougeaud club has fallen to fourth place, two lengths behind the Monaco – Villeurbanne duo and one point behind Poinçonnet.
A decisive meeting awaits the Limougeaudes on Saturday March 9 at the Municipal Hall against Monaco.
