Information regarding local vendors’ tyrannized BUMN‘recently hotly discussed in the virtual universe Twitter. One of the issues highlighted is the delay in payment of BUMN obligations as employers.
What did the BUMN by PT Waskita Karya (Persero) Tbk say?
Waskita Karya President Director Destiawan Soewardjono admitted that this delay was due to limited funds. However, his party promised to fulfill its obligations.
“Yes, we can be sure to postpone payments due to limited funds, but we will still fulfill our obligations. We only ask for time, we also ask creditors to be given leniency for the repayment,” he said in a webinar on Thursday ( 8/4/2021).
He said that if the divestment was successful, his party would immediately fulfill its obligations. This year, Waskita plans to release 9 toll roads.
“If the divestment occurs then we will be able to reduce the interest expense, and of course we can use it again for working capital. This connection is our obligation to the vendors,” he said.
He also thanked the vendors who were still loyal to help Waskita.
“We also thank most of these vendors for their loyalty and helping Waskita to complete its projects,” he said.
