From August 18 to 21, a closed beta test of Mortal Kombat 1 will be held, in which only owners of PS5 and Xbox Series consoles who pre-ordered the fighting game can take part.
Apparently, this is a protection against potential leaks, since it would certainly not be difficult for dataminers to “hack” the client and extract various information from there before the release.
As for the characters available in the beta, then here is the list:
Liu Kang; Sub Zero; Kenshi; Kitana; Johnny Cage; Li Mei; Kano (cameo); Sonya (cameo); Jax (cameo); Frost (cameo)
Mortal Kombat 1 releases on September 19 for PC, PS5, Xbox Series and Switch. Earlier it became known that a mini-game with breaking severed heads will appear in the fighting game.
