With such consent, the President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, has taken a big step to renounce the sovereignty of Belarus, according to the NBS major.
After this announcement by Putin, the Belarusian opposition has called on the public to start protesting against Putin’s plan in order to prevent it. Among the inviters there were also many military personnel who were forced to leave the territory of Belarus, Slaidiņš knew how to say.
“We know how extensive demonstrations ended in 2020. With the help of Russia, of course, it was possible to control these demonstrations. I think that now all those laws have been adopted in such a way that people are intimidated – it will be very difficult to move them,” said Slaidins.
All this looks “quite strange”, because Lukashenko maneuvered before – he could not be involved in the war.

Slaidins unequivocally believes that this issue with the transfer of tactical nuclear weapons to Belarus will continue to be discussed for some time. Therefore, it remains to be seen how the situation will develop.
We have to see what America will say, Slaidinš thinks. “They are definitely following – they know where Russia’s nuclear arsenal is, and as soon as there is any movement there, it will be known where it goes and how much it goes. I think that the Americans have put a thorough eye on it,” said Slaidiņš in the TV24 program.
It has already been announced that with his announcement about the deployment of tactical nuclear weapons in Belarus, Russian President Vladimir Putin has taken Belarus as a nuclear hostage, according to the Secretary of the National Security Council of Ukraine, Oleksiy Danilov.
“Putin’s announcement about the deployment of tactical nuclear weapons in Belarus is a step towards the internal destabilization of the country, it increases the level of negative perception and rejection of Russia and Putin in the Belarusian society to the maximum,” wrote Danilov on Twitter. “The Kremlin has taken Belarus as a nuclear hostage,” added Danilov.
