According to RIVM figures published on Tuesday, 2,099 people have now been tested positive for the corona virus in Limburg. At least 1,098 Limburgers have been or have been hospitalized since the outbreak. Information from the Limburg GGDs shows that at least 328 Limburgers died due to COVID-19.
The figures published by the National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM) are provided daily by the Limburg GGDs at 10:00 am. The figures of the Limburg GGDs are published daily at 12:00 and are therefore more up-to-date.
The corona virus has now killed at least 328 people in Limburg. That is 34 more than was known on Monday. At least 168 inhabitants died in North and Central Limburg from the virus. In South Limburg, 160 people died of COVID-19 disease.
The number of reports is not equal to the number of deaths in the last 24 hours. Deaths are often not reported until one or more days later. People who die of the virus without having tested positive for it are completely missing from the statistics.
Since the outbreak of the virus, at least 1,098 Limburgers have been or have been hospitalized, RIVM reports Tuesday. That is 38 more than was known on Monday. In the Netherlands, Peel en Maas is still the municipality where relatively the majority of residents are or have been in a hospital due to infection with the corona virus. This concerns 285.6 per 100,000 inhabitants. It is a total of 124 people.
In Limburg, 2,099 people have been tested positive for the corona virus in RIVM. It is not possible to detect a trend based on these figures. The figures are very dependent on the number of tests that are performed. Now that the test capacity is being increased, an increase may be visible as a result.
In the Netherlands 2,101 people have since died of the coronavirus; RIVM received 234 new deaths in the past 24 hours. The total number of hospital admissions is 7,427. That is 292 more than Monday. The number of positive tests increased by 777 to 19,580.
