It’s time again to celebrate Limburg music with the traditional Limburg 100!
On Thursday 18 May from 08:00 in the morning you will hear another ten-hour radio broadcast containing the 100 best songs from Limburg soil according to the viewers and listeners of L1. In recent weeks, the public could vote for their favorite Limburg song of all time. These votes are added together and form the traditional list.

Visit the Limburgs museum!
The broadcast of the Limburgse 100 starts at 08:00 in the morning and will last until 18:00. In the afternoon, from 13:00, we broadcast live from the Limburgs Museum in Venlo. We will set up our mobile radio studio at the main entrance and some of the listed artists will perform their song live!
Great news is that the Limburgs Museum will open the doors of all exhibitions on this day. That means that you can pay a free visit to the Limburgs Museum on Thursday 18 May, between 11:00 and 18:00!

The 27th edition
The tradition of the Limburg 100 started in 1997 when Karel Siebers, the then editor-in-chief of news, was looking for an idea to give Ascension Day an original interpretation. Together with colleague Lex van Moorsel, he comes up with the L1mbo Top 100.
The formula has remained unchanged in all those years: viewers and listeners vote for Limburg music productions from the past and present. Those votes are added together and together form the list. Only the name changed is 2022 in Limburgse 100. This year the list will be broadcast for the 27th time.
