Cuban comedian Limay Blanco performed a great act of charity this week by providing a woman and her three children with better living conditions.
As part of his humanitarian project “Cristo Cambia Vidas”, the comedian delivered a fully furnished house to the family, who previously lived in total precariousness.
The house is number 19 of the actor’s project, an objective that was achieved in less than a month, and that will serve to greatly improve the situation of the three minors and the woman.
It all started when, three weeks ago, the comedian saw a video in which he witnessed how the family lived, shocked by the dangerous and unsanitary conditions of their home, which even had a huge hole in the ground.
After this, Blanco was so shocked that he even considered donating all of his proceeds from his comedy show tour, in order to buy a house for the family.
This was not necessary, however, due to the generosity of an anonymous benefactor, who from the United States donated $7,000 to buy a home for the mother and her children.
After this, Blanco requested the cooperation of whoever wanted to join the cause to furnish the house, and still this Wednesday he was requesting a last effort to acquire a table for the dining room.
Through his social networks, the comedian shared the video of the delivery, in which it can be seen that he was able to get everything the family required, since the house is complete and with all the necessary furniture.
The house is an independent house, with two rooms, located in the Mantilla neighborhood, in the municipality of Arroyo Naranjo, in Havana.
“The Bible says that there is more blessing in giving than in receiving,” he added in the description of his publication along with the images of the delivery.
Limay’s humanitarian work has caused admiration among thousands of Cubans. As part of his project, the artist has indicated that he wants to deliver a total of 100 houses to families in extreme poverty and with homes at risk.
Included in his plans is the purchase of the land attached to his house to build a church, a warehouse for medicines, and continue to shape his ministry “Christ changes lives.”
Housing is one of the biggest problems facing Cuba, with the government complying with less than 4% of the housing plan and thousands of houses and buildings at risk of collapse, especially in the Havana capital.
