Lily Gladstone wants to appear on television. Recently, the actress, who is up for the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress for her work in Killers of the Flower Moonrevealed that he wants to participate in Saturday Night Live.
In an interview with the magazine People, Gladstone, the first Native American actress nominated at the Oscars, said she dreams of being a presenter on Saturday Night Live.
“That’s probably been a dream I’ve maintained on my own,” Gladstone said. “My parents, and I think this is what people say when you aspire to act and they want to encourage you as a kid, it’s like, ‘Oh, one day you’re going to get an Oscar.’ So it almost becomes a cliché. But what I always wanted to do if I had this moment is host SNL,” confessed the 37-year-old actress.
Gladstone is nominated for Best Supporting Actress for her work in Killers of the Flower Moonby Martin Scorsese, at the 96th edition of the Oscar Awards, which will be presented next Sunday, March 10 at the Dolby Theater in Hollywood.
Lily Gladstone, of Siksikaitsitapi and Niimiipuu descent, is the first Native American actress to be nominated for an Oscar and the fourth indigenous actress to obtain a nomination in the Best Supporting Actress category at the Academy Awards.
Before Gladstone, the last indigenous woman nominated in the Best Supporting Actress category at the Oscars had been the Mexican Yalitza Aparicio for her role in Romaby Alfonso Cuarón.
In the interview with the magazine People, Gladstone also talked about what excites him most about the Oscar ceremony. “I think just being there and absorbing the magnitude of the impact that this movie has had,” he said. “I’m so excited to be able to share this,” she added.
As for who he brings to the ceremony, The actress said that she will be accompanied by her family. “I’m going to have a family. Family with me and family cheering me on from home,” she said.
Lily Gladstone began her acting career in 2012. She has had roles in films and series such as Certain Women, Buster’s Mal Heart, Billions y Killers of the Flower Moonfor which he has had greater recognition.
