Lilly McFadden (18) is the daughter of TV personality and former artist Kerry Katona and Westlife star Brian McFadden. With songs such as “You Raise Me Up”, “Uptown Girl” and “All or Nothing”, the band made themselves very popular, before McFadden left the group in 2004 to spend more time with the family.
Now, however, it is the daughter who is making headlines. In an exclusive interview with the British magazine OK! she tells of a somewhat unusual discovery she made during the corona pandemic.
The boy band star says: – Paid for the children’s attention
Wicca-religion
Lilly tells the magazine that she started experimenting with magic formulas well over a year ago, around the start of the first shutdown.
– At the beginning of the first shutdown, I really struggled. Like everyone else, I found it so difficult, and I was looking for something to make me feel better.
It turned out that what she found was something a little out of the ordinary.
On a forest walk, she suddenly discovered a pagan symbol on a tree. She took that as a sign, and then Lilly began practicing the Wicca religion.
Wicca is part of the modern witch movement and is thus a pagan religion. Most Wicca followers call themselves “witches” and practice a form of so-called witchcraft or magic.

Meets other «witches»
Lilly describes herself as a “witch”, and can reveal that since she began practicing the religion, she meets other “witches” almost every day.
– You will not believe how many of us there are out there. And most likely you have no idea, but many of your friends and family members are witches. Recently I was on a photoshoot with my mom, and only there I met three or four pieces.
– People thought I was insane
Lilly explains that she does not wear a pointed hat, but that she loves to read cards and that she has tarot cards at home.
The 18-year-old was recently asked to participate in this year’s season of the popular dating program “Love Island”, but declined the offer.
Inside the Norwegian witch scene
Lilly has more important things to do than look for love on TV. She is determined to change people’s perception of the Wicca religion.
– It’s so sad because it’s such a misunderstood religion. There are many negative associations around what sorcery is. Like that it is evil women who are burned at the stake and that it is the work of the devil. But Wicca is actually a wonderfully kind and good religion, emphasizes the celebrity daughter.
