Lille Opera’s 100th Anniversary Season: A Celebration of Classics and Festive Moments!

L‘Lille Opera, inaugurated at the end of 1923, will celebrate its centenary with this 2023-2024 season! Almost 100 years to the day after its inauguration, theLille Opera plans a rich and varied program with great classics but also very festive moments! In December, a parquet floor will be installed to transform the opera into a ballroom, as in the past, for several dance evenings, one of which is open to children and the other dedicated to swing. After a Tristan and Isolde by Wagner in March, staged by the new director of the Avignon festival Tiago Rodrigues and co-produced with the Opéra national de Lorraine, the season will end in June with another, lighter creation: The bat of Johann Strauss.
