Lille Hosts Urban Flea Market: The Ultimate Destination for Sneaker Addicts!

This is THE meeting place for sneakers addicts ! L’Urban Flea Market makes a comeback to Lille the weekend of June 3 and 4, 2023. In a space of more than 1000m² installed at centre commercial Lillenium, of the resellers of sneakers and second-hand clothes offer the creme de la creme. Of the conferences and good sound will punctuate these two days. The event will be held at the same time as the Festival des Paradis Artificiels, at the Halle de Glisse. The first event dedicated to fans of sneaker culture in France

The event is organized by Son Of Sneakers, an association founded in 2013 by aficionados of urban culture, sneakers and art. By orchestrating conferences, interviews, artistic encounters and other events, Son Of Sneakers highlights young talents and artists influenced by sneaker culture.

Sneakers culture, precisely, is now everywhere in the French cultural landscape: art, fashion, products, sport, music, cinema… Just look in the street: sneakers are everywhere and dominate the fashion market. shoe in France.

“Despite this dazzling popularity, events celebrating this culture remain confined to large cities, and Paris in particular, leaving other cities in France in search of opportunities”, explains the association which therefore created the Urban Flea Market, a itinerant market dedicated to resale and second-hand. “This tour encompasses everything: sneakers, vintage clothing, accessories, lifestyle and much more” explains Son of Sneakers.

Sale, conferences, artistic performances

For his 5^th edition, the Urban Flea Market will move to the Lillenium shopping center. The event offers a meeting and discovery space of 1100m² allowing to exchange, buy and sell sneakers and emblematic streetwear clothes. Participants will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in this fascinating universe, exploring the latest trends, rare pieces and new collaborations.

In addition to (re)sale, the event features talks and artistic performances that celebrate the diversity and creativity of urban culture. Visitors will thus be able to enrich their knowledge, broaden their horizons and draw inspiration from emerging and established talents in the field.
