The Lille footballers defeated the Angers 2: 1 in the last round of the French league and won the fourth title in club history. Ligue 1 won after ten years and interrupted the three-year domination of Paris Saint Germain, which they surpassed by one point.

Lille was symbolically secured by Lille’s two best scorers in the league year. Jonathan David opened the scoring in the 10th minute and Burak Yılmaz converted the penalty in the first half. Lille is the third team to break the Paris favorite series. After the entry of Qatari investors in June 2011, it was not enough in the first season at Montpellier and in the 2016/17 year at Monaco.
Paris Saint Germain beat Brest 2-0 in the last round, but it wasn’t enough. They will end the season with only one trophy, on Wednesday they defended their victory in the French Cup. The qualification for the Champions League will be played by Monaco, which, despite a goalless draw with Lens, kept the third position ahead of Lyon. Olympique lost to Nice 2: 3 in the last round.

Lens lost his participation in the European Conference League qualification due to a draw with Monaco. The last round was better managed by Rennes, who defeated the descending Nimes 2: 0 and secured sixth place and a start in a new cup competition.
